The Arab Council for Childhood and Development, in partnership with the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), issued an exploratory field study on a sample of Arab children aged 12-15 years.
The study aimed to measure the extent to which Arab children were able to be equipped with the necessary skills to interact efficiently with a new world whose features have not yet been revealed.
It also dealt with measuring the extent of success of various upbringing institutions in preparing Arab children for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The results of the study concluded that children’s readiness for the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is limited, and that the deep gap between the current level of students’ cognitive skills and the requirements for readiness for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond is widening.
