Child Dies in Lahj Province After Being Shot by a Houthi Sniper

Today, 10-year-old Uday Abdulaziz Ahmed Saleh passed away in Lahj Governorate from injuries he sustained after being shot in the neck by a sniper believed to be affiliated with the Houthi group.

Ishraq Al-Maqtari, a member of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Human Rights Violations, stated in a post on her "X" platform account that the child was shot by a Houthi sniper on the morning of Sunday, June 22, 2025, while he was having breakfast outside his home in the Karsh district of Lahj. The incident left him with a severe disability.

Despite the humanitarian efforts made by kind individuals to secure medical treatment for him at a hospital in Aden, the child sadly succumbed to his injuries today after a painful battle.
