Two Children Injured in Grenade Explosion Inside Their Home in Western Taiz

Two children were injured on Saturday evening in a grenade explosion inside their home in Al-Wazi’iyah district, west of Taiz province.

According to Al-Masdar Online, citing local sources, the children's father arrived at the house carrying a hand grenade. When his wife tried to stop him, she took refuge in a room with their two children. However, the man threw the grenade through the window, killing the mother instantly and injuring the children with shrapnel.

The sources added that the children were taken to the hospital for treatment. The explosion also injured the children's grandmother and grandfather, who were in the living room at the time.
