Marib: Six Children Seriously Injured in Fire at Their Home

A displaced family of eight, including six children, sustained serious injuries after a fire broke out on Wednesday at their residence, located in a small shop on Al-Baydani Street behind the Abu Ali market in the city of Marib.

Local sources told Yemen Children’s Platform that the fire was caused by the explosion of a domestic gas cylinder, resulting in varying degrees of burns to the father, Salim Ahmed Mohammed Murad, his wife, and their six children. All were rushed to the emergency department at Marib General Hospital to receive urgent medical care.

In response, the Executive Unit for IDP Camp Management issued a public appeal on its official page, urging humanitarian organizations, charities, and individual donors to intervene promptly—either by providing medical support to the injured or by securing safe housing that ensures minimum dignity and protection for the family after their recovery.
