Child Dies, Another Rescued in Mawiyah District, Taiz Governorate
A seven-year-old girl has died after being swept away by flash floods in the Mawiyah District of Taiz Governorate, southwest Yemen.
According to media sources, heavy rains caused severe flooding that swept away two girls near their home in the village of Al-Dakhla – Sadd Al-Khalef, Mawiyah. Local residents managed to rescue one of the girls, while the other tragically lost her life.
The deceased was identified as the daughter of a local resident, (S. Al-Afari), and was a first-grade student.
