Two Girls Killed by Houthi Landmine in Al-Bayda

Two girls, Intisar Abdulrab bin Abdulrab Saleh Al-Salahi (17) and Aisha Hussein Abdulrab Saleh Al-Salahi (14), were killed on Saturday after a landmine explosion in Yemen’s Al-Bayda governorate.
According to human rights sources, the girls were herding sheep in the Al-Ghoul area of Al-Nu’man district when they triggered an anti-personnel mine, killing them instantly.
Human rights activist Ishraq Al-Maqtari, a member of the National Commission to Investigate Alleged Violations of Human Rights, stated on X that the incident adds to the growing toll of landmine victims in residential and rural areas planted by the Houthi group—where children and women are often the most affected.
