Taiz: Three Children and a Woman Injured by Sniper Fire in Residential Areas in Western Taiz
According to the information, 7-year-old Mahfouz Mahfouz Salem Abdulrazzaq was injured by a bullet that penetrated his back, while his brother, 13-year-old Nunan Mahfouz Salem Abdulrazzaq, was shot in the palm of his left hand. 8-year-old Turki Hazaa Ahmed Hizam was also injured by shrapnel to the jaw, while a woman sustained a gunshot wound to the neck.
The incident once again highlights the risks faced by children in residential areas of Taiz Governorate amid continued sniper fire and shelling that threaten civilians’ lives and expose children in particular to the risk of injury or death while they are in their homes and surrounding residential areas.
