Hodeidah: Four Children Injured in Houthi Shelling Targeting Residential Villages in Hays and Al-Tuhayta

Four children were injured in artillery shelling carried out by the Houthi group against residential villages in the rural areas of Hays District, Hodeidah Governorate, amid continued escalation in the southern parts of the governorate.

Hossam Bakri, Director of the Media Office in Hays District, said the shelling directly targeted populated villages, resulting in civilian casualties, including children, as well as damage to homes and property.

According to the local official, the shelling followed losses sustained by the Houthi group in the Ma'farq Saqam area and south of Al-Jarrahi District, coinciding with military operations along several fronts in southern Hodeidah.

The incident highlights the risks faced by children and civilians in residential areas of Hodeidah Governorate amid continued shelling near population centers, posing a direct threat to children's lives and safety.
