Child Dies After Drowning in Water Tank in Hajjah Governorate

A child, Ibrahim Mohammed Ahmed, from Al-Maftah District in Hajjah Governorate, died after falling into a water tank belonging to his family’s home while trying to fetch water.

According to media sources, the child passed away despite rescue attempts, in a tragic incident that has once again highlighted the dangers of uncovered water tanks.

This is the third incident of its kind in a short period in the district, prompting residents to renew their calls for covering and securing water tanks, especially in areas lacking centralized water supply netw

orks.
