Al-Hodeidah – Two Children Die in Flash Floods

Two children died on Monday after being swept away by flash floods in Zabid district, southern Al-Hodeidah province, following heavy rainfall in the area.
Local media sources reported that the victims, both 11 years old, were near a watercourse when the floods struck. Residents’ attempts to rescue them failed, while search teams continue efforts to recover their bodies under difficult weather conditions.
This tragedy comes amid repeated warnings about the dangers of staying near or crossing valleys and flood streams, especially as heavy rains persist across several Yemeni provinces, increasing the risk of similar incidents.
