Child Injured by War Remnant Explosion in Nihm

A child, Abdulhaye Ahmed Ahmed Ali Mohsen Al-Nuaimi, was seriously injured while playing near his home in Nihm District, Sana’a Governorate, when an explosive remnant of war detonated, causing severe wounds to his hands.

According to local sources, the blast inflicted serious injuries that required his immediate transfer to Al-Jumhuri Hospital in the capital, Sana’a, for urgent medical treatment and specialized care.

Several rural areas in Yemen continue to witness similar incidents from time to time due to the widespread presence of war remnants and landmines, posing a constant threat to civilians—especially children—amid ongoing local and international calls to intensify mine-clearance efforts and secure affected areas.
