Convention on the Rights of the Child

In 1989, world leaders made a historic commitment to the world's children by adopting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and making it part of the international agreement.

It became the most ratified convention in history and helped change the lives of children around the world.

But there are still children who do not have a full childhood; The childhood of many children is premature and amputated.

The onus is on our generation to demand that government, business and community leaders live up to their commitments and act for children's rights now, to achieve them once and for all. They must commit to ensuring every child has every right.
