Landmine Kills Teenage Boy at the Same Location Where His Uncle Was Killed in Al Bayda
Local sources reported on Saturday, June 27, that a teenage boy was killed in the explosion of a landmine left behind by the Houthi group, designated as a terrorist organization, in Al-Zahir District of Al Bayda Governorate, Yemen.
The sources told Yemen Daily News that Saleh Ali Al-Abd Ali, 15, was killed when an anti-personnel landmine exploded as he was riding a donkey through Wadi Al-Makhnaq in Al-Habaj area of Al-Zahir Al-Humaikan District. The explosion killed both the boy and the donkey instantly.
According to the sources, local residents rushed the victim to a nearby hospital after the blast, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The sources added that Saleh's death came after his uncle, Salem Al-Abd, was killed in the same location when a landmine exploded while he was herding sheep, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by landmines to civilians in the area.
