Juvenile Prosecutor Inspects Conditions of Residents at the Juvenile Care Home on Hadramout Coast

The Head of the Primary Juvenile Prosecution, Judge Osama Abdulrahman Bamasoud, conducted a field visit to the Juvenile Care Home on the Hadramout Coast as part of the Public Prosecution's supervisory and oversight role over care and rehabilitation institutions.

The visit was carried out in implementation of directives issued by the President of the Hadramout Court of Appeal Prosecution, Judge Mohammed Awad bin Ali Al-Haj, to monitor the conditions of care homes and detention facilities, ensure the legality of procedures, and safeguard the rights of juveniles.

During the visit, the prosecutor met with the home's management and discussed the implementation of judicial rulings issued against juveniles, mechanisms for the release of those eligible, the duration of sentences, and the procedures followed for handing juveniles over to their legal guardians in accordance with the law.

He also met with the juveniles residing at the facility, listened to their observations and requests, and reviewed the standard of care provided to them. He reaffirmed the Public Prosecution's commitment to continuously monitoring their conditions, ensuring the proper application of the law, protecting their rights, and supporting their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

The visit is part of a broader field inspection program implemented by the Hadramout Court of Appeal Prosecution to strengthen oversight of care and rehabilitation institutions, ensure compliance with legal procedures, protect the rights of juveniles, and achieve the rehabilitative objectives stipulated by law.
