Two Children Injured in Artillery Shelling East of Taiz Governorate
A child and a teenage girl were injured today with varying wounds as a result of artillery shelling that targeted residential neighborhoods east of Taiz city, in a new incident highlighting the continued targeting of populated areas.
Local sources reported that the child, Ahmed Amin Ali Mathna (12 years old), and the girl, Abrar Fouad (17 years old), were injured by shrapnel from artillery shells that fell on residential areas, following artillery shelling carried out by the Houthi group.
The sources added that the two injured were immediately rushed to a medical facility to receive the necessary treatment, noting that their health condition is stable.
The shelling caused a state of fear and panic among residents, especially women and children, amid repeated calls to ensure the protection of civilians and to halt the targeting of residential neighborhoods, which leads to civilian casualties and damage to property.
