Dhamar: Child Dies After Being Denied Hospital Access Due to Road Closure

A child in Dhamar province died after being unable to reach the hospital, as Houthi forces blocked a main road during a celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.
Local media sources reported that the child, Haitham Al-Ayashi, from Bani Ayash in Wusab Al-Safil district, sustained severe injuries after falling from a mountain slope while herding sheep.
According to the same sources, the ambulance transporting the boy was stopped in the Mahsuba area when Houthi fighters closed the road entirely for the event, preventing timely access to medical care.
The sources added that the road was not reopened until after the speech at the gathering had ended, by which time the child had succumbed to his injuries.
