Father kills his child by torturing him with chains in Al-Hodeidah

Ten-year-old Mohammed died after being subjected to brutal torture that led to his death in Al-Suwaik area, Al-Tuhayta district, south of Al-Hodeidah governorate.

Local sources told the “Yemen Children Platform” that the perpetrator, identified as “E.B.”, detained his son Mohammed inside the family home, restrained his hands with iron chains, and severely beat him for hours across different parts of his body.

According to the sources, the child died from his severe injuries and acute internal bleeding as a result of the harsh beating inflicted using a metal chain. The incident left the local community in shock and disbelief at the father’s loss of basic human compassion.

Residents of Al-Suwaik strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a “tragedy.” They stressed that the chains, which were meant for other purposes, were instead used as a tool of killing that claimed the life of an innocent child at the hands of the very person who was supposed to protect him.
