A Child Killed by His Brother in Hajjah Governorate

Sixteen-year-old Mursal Al-Barghashi was killed on Tuesday evening after being stabbed with a bladed weapon by his older brother in the village of Al-Baraghasha, Hajjah Governorate.

Sources reported that the 20-year-old brother had returned to the village after finishing some errands at the market when a dispute broke out between him and his younger brother in front of their family home. The argument reportedly began when the victim asked about a garment he had requested his brother to collect from the tailor, to which the latter replied that it was not yet ready.

According to the sources, the discussion escalated into a heated verbal altercation. In a moment of anger, the older brother allegedly drew his jambiya and stabbed his younger brother in the neck, causing a critical injury.

The injured teenager was rushed to Al-Qudsi Medical Center in the Al-Tour area, but he succumbed to his wounds before arriving at the facility.
