Taiz: Child Found Hanging; Residents Suspect Suicide
Local residents in Taiz Governorate reported the discovery of a child’s body in the Al-Shaqab area, found hanging in an incident believed to be a suicide, amid difficult living conditions faced by his family.
Residents told “Yemen Daily News” that the child, Khabir Abdulbasit Abdul Samad (14 years old), was found hanging yesterday afternoon (Thursday), in an incident that cast a shadow of grief over the area.
They suggested that the child may have taken his own life due to the harsh living conditions affecting his family, which have been exacerbated by the ongoing siege imposed on the area since 2015.
