Two Children Drown in Hawari Dam in Houth District, Northern Amran
Two children, aged 13 and 15, have died by drowning in Hawari Dam in Houth District, north of Amran Governorate, in a tragic incident that has shocked local residents.
Local sources reported that residents of Houth city found the bodies of the two children floating near the edges of the dam before retrieving them, confirming that both had passed away.
The sources added that the children’s clothes were found on the dam’s shore, with no identification documents available to determine their identities at the time of reporting.
According to the same sources, the two were likely attempting to swim in the dam when one of them began to drown. The other reportedly tried to rescue him but also drowned.
