Yemen: 2.2 Million Children Suffer from Acute Malnutrition Among 22.3 Million People in Need of Humanitarian Aid

Yemen is facing one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises, with an estimated 22.3 million people in need of assistance, including 2.2 million children under the age of five suffering from acute malnutrition—placing their lives at serious risk.

Around 18.3 million people are experiencing acute food insecurity, while more than 5.2 million internally displaced persons are living in deteriorating humanitarian conditions, further compounding the crisis, especially for children.

These figures underscore the urgent need for timely humanitarian intervention, as early action can save lives and reduce long-term humanitarian costs.
