Al-Hodeidah – Child Killed in Landmine Explosion in Al-Hali District

An 11-year-old girl, Hanan Ayesh, was killed this morning in a landmine explosion planted by the Houthi group in the Al-Masna area of Al-Hali District, southeast of Al-Hodeidah city.

According to statistics from Yemen’s Children Platform, this incident raises the toll of war remnants in August to three children killed and another injured with varying degrees of wounds.

Experts urge families to raise awareness among their children about the dangers of touching or approaching any suspicious objects on roads or farmlands, and to immediately report to the relevant authorities if landmines or unexploded ordnance are suspected, in order to protect their safety.
