Two Children Die Due to Floods in Sharab District, Taiz Governorate
Two children died as a result of floods that swept through Sharab District in Taiz Governorate following heavy rainfall that caused water to surge through valleys and flood channels across the area.
Local sources reported that the two children, sons of citizen Samir Saleh Yusuf, were swept away by floodwaters while they were near one of the valleys, leading to their deaths in a tragic incident that left residents of the area in deep sorrow.
The sources noted that the incident has renewed warnings about the dangers of approaching flood channels during the rainy season, especially as water levels can rise suddenly in mountainous and rural areas.
The sources also urged residents to exercise caution, closely monitor children, and prevent them from approaching valleys and flood paths in order to protect their safety and avoid further tragic incidents.
