Free Medical Camp to Save the Lives of 95 Children at Taiz Heart Center
The Cardiology, Vascular Diseases, and Kidney Transplant Center in Taiz has announced the launch of a free humanitarian medical camp to perform 95 medical interventions for children, including 85 complex cardiac catheterization procedures and 10 open-heart surgeries, with support from Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent.
The camp targets children suffering from congenital heart defects from the most vulnerable families, with the aim of alleviating their suffering, localizing advanced cardiac surgeries within Yemen, and reducing the burden of traveling abroad for treatment.
A distinguished team of senior consultants and specialized pediatric cardiac surgeons and catheterization experts is participating in the camp.
The organization of this camp comes as part of the center’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, in cooperation with its international partners, to give children a new chance at life amid the current economic and humanitarian conditions.
