Yemen’s Children Platform Participates in Meeting with EU Ambassador to Discuss Support for Independent Journalism
Yemen’s Children Platform took part in a meeting held by the European Union Ambassador to Yemen, Patrick Simonnet, with a group of Yemeni journalists in Amman, Jordan. The event was dedicated to discussing the state of the media and ways to support press freedom.
During the meeting, Ambassador Simonnet reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting independent and professional journalism in Yemen, highlighting the crucial role that free media plays in building an informed and resilient society amid current challenges.
Participants, including Yemen’s Children Platform, underscored the importance of expanding spaces for freedom of expression, enabling journalists to access information, and supporting media initiatives that focus on children’s issues and the most vulnerable groups in Yemeni society.
