Two Children Die, Eight Others Injured in Ibb Province

Two children died and eight others were injured on Thursday in a suffocation incident inside a vehicle that became stranded in flash floods in the Al-Sahoul area, north of Ibb province.
Media sources reported that the vehicle, which was carrying the children, got stuck in the stream of Souq Al-Sabt – Wadi Al-Ashqar, leaving it immobilized in the middle of the floodwaters.
The same sources explained that a blocked exhaust pipe caused toxic carbon monoxide gas to leak into the vehicle, leading to the deaths of a boy and a girl from the family of Salah Abdullah Doba’an.
According to the sources, the injured children — all under the age of ten — were taken to a nearby hospital. Five of them were reported to be in stable condition, while three remain in intensive care due to their critical health condition.
