Taiz: Two Children Killed, Two Others Injured by Lightning Strike

A lightning strike on Sunday evening claimed the life of a child, Nabil Mohammed Saeed Qadri, and injured two others, Omar Saeed Ahmed and Adam Mohammed Saeed Ahmed, in the village of Al-Qawadir, Al-Jum’ah subdistrict, east of Al-Mokha district in Taiz governorate.

Local residents told Manbar Al-Akhbar that the strike coincided with heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, and also caused a house fire in the neighboring village of Al-Haleesa, sparking fear among locals.

Earlier that morning, parts of Al-Mokha district in Taiz governorate had witnessed scattered rainfall accompanied by strong thunderstorms.
