Lahj: Child Injured in Landmine Explosion from War Remnants
A 12-year-old boy, Aman Ahmed Saleh, sustained serious injuries today after a war remnant exploded near Al-Barkani station, close to the Karsh market in Lahj governorate.
The incident comes amid the continued spread of landmines and unexploded ordnance across large areas of Yemen, posing a constant threat to civilians, particularly women and children.
Several governorates, including Hodeidah and Lahj, continue to record frequent civilian casualties from landmine explosions, with Hodeidah topping the list of the most affected areas in terms of victim numbers.
