In collaboration with Sada Organization, Yemen's Children Platform launches a training program in child journalism in Marib
In collaboration with the National Organization of Yemeni Media Professionals (Sada), Yemen's Children Platform launched today, Monday, October 13, 2025, the first training program in child journalism, with the participation of a number of volunteer journalists and media professionals.
During the opening, the Executive Director of Sada, Hisham Al-Tamimi, emphasized the importance of practical and field training, pointing out that this stage is full of human stories and events related to children, which require professional and responsible media coverage.
For his part, the Director of Yemen's Children Platform, Arkan Al-Wafi, explained that launching this program comes in response to an urgent need in the Yemeni media scene, as there’s a lack of qualified journalists specialized in child journalism.
The participants expressed their appreciation for this initiative, saying it will help them improve their journalistic skills and strengthen their ability to cover child-related issues more professionally.
The program includes several courses such as news writing, journalistic reporting, and producing child-focused radio content, along with sessions introducing participants to the laws and regulations related to writing about childhood issues.
