The Yemen’s Children Platform, in partnership with the Sada Organization, concluded on Wednesday in Marib Governorate a three-day practical training course on the fundamentals of field journalism, news writing, and reporting, targeting 22 participants.
Arkan Al-Wafi, Managing Editor of the Yemen’s Children Platform, stated that the course comes as part of the platform’s plan to enhance content quality and expand the scope of rights-based coverage. He emphasized that building the editorial team’s capacities is a key step toward strengthening the media presence of children's issues.
Al-Wafi added that the platform targeted both its contributing volunteers and several media students from Saba Region University.
Course trainer and journalist Mohammed Hafeez explained that the training covered multiple modules focused on the basics of news coverage and journalistic writing.
He noted that the course achieved its objectives to a large extent through practical exercises, active participation from attendees, and the submission of news samples produced by the trainees.
