A child died and others were injured in a traffic accident in Lahj.

A child died and three others were injured on Thursday in a traffic accident in the Al-Yousifiyeen area of Al-Qabbaitah district, north of Lahj governorate.

Local sources reported that a transport vehicle suffered a mechanical failure, causing it to overturn twice, resulting in the death of one child and the injury of three others, who were transported by locals to a nearby hospital.

In recent months, the Al-Yousifi area has witnessed an increase in similar traffic accidents, attributed to the deteriorating condition of the alternative roads used by transport vehicles, the lack of regular vehicle maintenance, and the closure of main roads due to the ongoing conflict.
