Two Children Die After Being Run Over While Waiting to Receive Humanitarian Aid in Al Mokha District, Taiz

Yemen Children Platform has received a report confirming the deaths of Bassam Saeed Mohammed Qaed, 11, and Mira Mansour Mohammed Hassan, 4, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident that occurred several days ago in Al Najeeba area, Al Mokha District, Taiz Governorate.

According to preliminary information, the two children were waiting with other residents at a site designated for the distribution of humanitarian assistance provided by one of the organizations when they were struck by a vehicle. The incident left them critically injured, and they later died from their injuries.

Yemen Children Platform extends its deepest condolences to the families of the two children and calls for stricter measures to ensure children's safety and to improve the organization of humanitarian aid distributions in order to protect children and prevent similar tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
