Three Children Killed in Tribal Clashes in Amran Province

Three children were killed and five others injured on Friday in armed clashes between the “Dhu Abu Saeed” and “Dhu Masad” tribes in the Suwayr district of Amran province, northern Yemen.
Local media sources reported that the victims were school students leaving Bani Arjalah School when the fighting erupted. The children who lost their lives were identified as: Sharaf Ahmed Abu Saeed (12), Bandar Abu Saeed (11), and Tahani Ali Abu Saeed (10).
According to the sources, the clashes stem from long-standing tribal disputes and vendettas between the two families. Observers have expressed concern that the violence could escalate further, putting more civilians — particularly children — at risk.
