Three Children Injured in Gas Cylinder Explosion in Ibb Province

Three children suffered burns on Saturday following a domestic gas cylinder explosion that sparked a fire in a family home in the Al-Maraghma area of Al-Qafr District, northern Ibb Governorate.
Acording to media sources, the explosion occurred inside the house, triggering a massive fire in the absence of firefighting equipment, first aid resources, and basic home safety measures.
All members of the family, including women and children, sustained varying degrees of burn injuries as a result of the incident.
Residents issued urgent appeals to health and humanitarian organizations—including the Yemen Red Crescent’s Ibb branch—to assist in transporting the injured to hospitals in the city or to Jiblah Hospital for necessary treatment.
The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by rural areas in Ibb Governorate, where a lack of healthcare infrastructure and emergency services makes it difficult to respond effectively to domestic accidents.
