Rights Advocate Urges Taiz Authorities to Return Abducted Girl and Arrest Perpetrators
Human rights advocate and member of the Yemeni Writers and Authors Union, Ahmed Naji Al-Nabhani, has called on Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan and all local authorities to take urgent action to return the abducted girl J. A. A. (16) to her family and arrest those involved in her abduction, after she went missing days ago in Al-Jahmaliya neighborhood in central Taiz.
In a Facebook post monitored by the Yemen Children Platform, Al-Nabhani said the girl was abducted in the Al-Jahmaliya area, urging local authorities to shoulder their legal and humanitarian responsibilities to protect children and ensure her safe return.
The appeal comes amid confirmations that an armed gang was involved in the abduction, sparking widespread concern within the local community and renewed calls for swift action to curb child abductions in the city.
