Eight Children Abducted in Amran After September 26 Revolution Anniversary Celebration

The Houthi group abducted eight children on Friday in Al-Asha district of Amran governorate. The children were identified as Sadiq bin Amin Abu Rakab, Younes bin Ali Sallah, Amin bin Sadiq Sallah, Mazen bin Ibrahim Moafer, Madeen bin Sadiq Moafer, Abdulrahim Moafer, Omar bin Ahmed Muthanna, and Suleiman Moafer. The incident occurred after they lit a symbolic torch during an event marking the 63rd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
According to media sources, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Houthi leader Hassan Al-Qadhi, who was appointed by the group as director of security for the district. The sources noted that the abducted children are between 8 and 15 years old.
The sources further confirmed that the children were taken to an undisclosed location, sparking fears among families that they may be subjected to torture or prolonged enforced detention.
