Child Khaled Waleed Dies Following Shell Explosion in Western Taiz

The child Khaled Waleed (11 years old) died in Taiz governorate after being injured by a shell explosion fired by Houthi forces in the Al-Majliya area, west of the governorate.

Local sources reported that the child was on his way to herd sheep, as he routinely did in search of a livelihood, before his day turned into a tragedy following the explosion.

This incident comes amid growing risks threatening children’s lives in conflict-affected areas, where many are forced to work under dangerous conditions to secure basic means of living.
