Death of a Young Girl from Stray Bullet in Taiz After Three Days in Intensive Care
The young girl, Mira Nour Al-Din Saeed (7 years old), has died from injuries caused by a stray bullet, three days after receiving treatment in intensive care in Taiz governorate.
According to local sources, the child was injured while she was in one of the streets of Wadi Al-Ma’asal neighborhood, when armed men exchanged gunfire in the area. A bullet struck her in the head, leading to her immediate transfer to the hospital in critical condition.
Sources confirmed that the girl remained in the intensive care unit for three days before succumbing to her injuries, despite doctors’ efforts to save her life.
The incident has sparked widespread grief and anger among residents, who called on authorities to take strict measures to curb the spread of weapons and enforce security, particularly in residential neighborhoods, to prevent such tragedies that continue to claim innocent lives, especially children.
