Child Dies After Falling Into a Well in Ibb Governorate

The child Issa Abdullah Mohammed Al-Maqbali passed away yesterday in Ibb Governorate after drowning in a well, in yet another incident added to a series of similar tragedies witnessed across the governorate’s districts.

According to local sources, the child died while fetching water for his family from a well in the Bani Mubarez area of Al-Qafr District, north of the governorate.

The sources stated that the boy had left home to bring water but did not return, prompting his family to search for him. They were devastated to find him inside the well, having already lost his life.

Media sources reported that the same well witnessed another tragic incident a year ago, when three siblings drowned while attempting to fetch water for their family in the same area.
