Marib Police Detain Young Man Over Accidental Shooting of a Child

The police authorities in Marib Governorate announced the detention of a 19-year-old young man in connection with the accidental shooting that led to the death of 16-year-old Riyad Qaed Mohammed Saleh.

According to the police, the young man was cleaning a firearm when a shot was unintentionally discharged, resulting in the child’s immediate death.

The security authorities confirmed that the suspect is being held pending legal procedures, attributing the incident to improper handling of the weapon and failure to follow safety measures.
