A Child Kidnapped for the Second Time in Amran Governorate

The child Rasheed Fathi Saleh Al-Maliki (11 years old) was kidnapped yesterday from Al-Far‘ village – Bani Malik, in Bani Suraim District, and was later taken to the district’s Security Administration prison, which is under Houthi control, without any legal justification.

According to sources, the child had previously been assaulted and abducted about four months ago inside the village mosque, where he was severely beaten. He was then transferred to Al-Salam Hospital in the city of Khamer to receive treatment.

Sources also indicated that the recent abduction came after the child was accused of throwing a stone at a house window while playing with other children in the neighborhood.

This incident comes just one day after Houthi elements opened fire on a child from the Dhu Al-Qarh tribe in Suwayr District, in the context of ongoing violations against civilians in Amran Governorate.
