UNICEF: Nearly 1.5 Million Children Vaccinated in Yemen Through Emergency Human Capital Project
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced that it has supported the vaccination of nearly 1.5 million children in Yemen through the Emergency Human Capital Project (EHCP), funded by the World Bank.
The organization stated that these efforts were carried out between October 2021 and September 2025, as part of its programs aimed at strengthening immunization services and protecting children from preventable diseases.
The project seeks to support Yemen’s health sector, particularly amid the country’s ongoing humanitarian challenges, by expanding access to vaccines and essential healthcare services for children.
UNICEF emphasized the importance of continued international support to ensure the sustainability of immunization programs, helping to protect millions of children and reduce disease rates.
