Investigation Committee Formed Following Ataq Clashes… Two Children Among the Injured

Shabwa Governor Awadh bin Al-Wazir issued a decision on Wednesday, February 11, to form an urgent investigation committee to examine the circumstances surrounding the clashes that took place at the Governorate Office in Ataq city, which resulted in casualties, including two children.

According to preliminary information, the death toll has risen to five, while 29 others were injured, among them two children and nine security personnel assigned to guard the governorate building.

The decision mandates the committee to conduct a comprehensive investigation, determine legal responsibilities, and assess damages, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures. Representatives of the victims’ families have been included in the committee to enhance transparency and accountability.
