Death of a Child While Swimming in Abyan Governorate
The child, Jamal Ihab Yahya, drowned in one of the valleys of Al-Darjaj village in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, after going missing for several hours while swimming.
According to local sources, the child’s body was found on Sunday evening following an extensive search campaign carried out by residents, which lasted for hours after he disappeared in the valley waters.
The same sources reported that Jamal had gone swimming with a group of friends on Sunday afternoon. On their way back to the village, he remembered something he had forgotten and returned to the valley alone.
