Death of Child, Ritaj Al-Hazimi, Due to Electric Shock in Marib

A 13-year-old girl, Ritaj Al-Hazimi, died on Wednesday as a result of an electric shock in her home located in the Al-Rawdah neighborhood of Marib Governorate.

Sources told Yemen Children Platform that the incident was caused by an electrical short circuit at the door of the house, combined with humidity, which led to Ritaj’s death instantly despite her family’s attempts to save her.

The tragic incident sparked widespread sorrow in the local community, accompanied by calls to raise awareness about electrical hazards and enforce strict preventive measures to ensure the safety of children in homes and residential areas.
