Conclusion of Training Course to Strengthen Psychosocial Support and Child Protection in Al Hudaydah

A specialized training course on case management and psychosocial support concluded in Al Khokha District, Al Hudaydah Governorate, with support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), aiming to strengthen child protection and improve the psychological and social well-being of children.

The course lasted ten days and targeted 111 trainees working in protection and psychosocial support fields, contributing to enhancing their capacities to deal with humanitarian cases, particularly children affected by difficult circumstances.

The Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the governorate, Adel Makrash, emphasized the importance of the course in qualifying specialists working in case management and psychosocial support, praising UNICEF’s support for implementing humanitarian programs that focus on protecting children and enhancing their psychological and social well-being.

For his part, the Director of the Education Office in the governorate, Ibrahim Ajaash, explained that the project targets 22 schools in Al Khokha District and focuses on out-of-school children, by providing the necessary support to return them to classrooms and reintegrate them into the education process.
