Child and Father Missing in Al-Qa'idah City, Ibb Governorate for Nearly a Month

Local sources in Ibb Governorate told Yemen Daily on Friday, April 17, that a child and his father have been missing in Al-Qa'idah city for nearly a month, in an incident that has raised widespread concern, particularly given the child’s critical health condition.

According to the information, Adel Qaed Qassem Al-Tabi’i and his son Bilal, a young child, both from Al-Aridah village in Dhi Al-Sufal district, disappeared on the third day of Eid al-Fitr while heading to Al-Hawban area. They were seeking financial assistance to perform a necessary surgical operation for the child, who suffers from a congenital abdominal deformity.

Since then, all contact with them has been completely lost, with no information available about their whereabouts, increasing the suffering of the family—especially the child’s mother, who is experiencing severe health and psychological distress due to the absence of any reassuring news.

The family has appealed to the relevant authorities to urgently intervene and uncover the fate of the child Bilal and his father, amid growing fears for their safety.
