Body of Stabbed Child Found in Damt, Al-Dhalea Province

On Saturday, the body of a child was discovered in the city of Damt, Al-Dhalea province, an area under the control of the Houthi group, days after he had gone missing.

Local sources told Yemen Daily News that the victim was identified as 9-year-old Hizam Fadhl Al-Qahfah, who had disappeared four days earlier in the Sabdam area, east of the city. His body was found dumped in a culvert, bearing multiple stab wounds and signs of physical torture.

The crime has sparked shock and grief among residents, amid growing concerns over the recurrence of similar incidents. Locals have increasingly accused the city's security apparatus of negligence and failing to protect civilians—particularly children.
