Armed men storm a school in Taiz, injuring a child

The child, Haroun Abdulmalik Ahmed (16 years old), was injured by a gunshot to the right side of his abdomen and was taken to Al-Thawra Hospital in Taiz city, where he remains in the intensive care unit receiving treatment. The incident occurred after armed men stormed a school in Jabal Habashy District on Tuesday morning.

According to security sources, a joint security campaign managed to arrest four wanted individuals suspected of involvement in the armed assault that targeted Musab bin Omair School, which resulted in the injury of a teacher, a student, and a child.

A statement issued by the Taiz Police Department confirmed that the security operation was carried out within hours of the incident, after identifying the perpetrators, tracking them down, and successfully apprehending them.

The police affirmed that the suspects have been placed in custody to complete legal procedures before being referred to the competent authorities, emphasizing that community security and stability are a shared responsibility that requires citizens’ cooperation with security forces.
