Yemen's Children Platform Concludes Training Course on Fact-Checking as Part of “Child Journalism” Program

The Yemen Children Platform concluded on Thursday in Marib Governorate a training course on fact-checking, held in partnership with the National Organization of Yemeni Media Professionals (Sada) and Masnad Platform. The four-day course combined both theoretical and practical training sessions.

This is the first training within the “Child Journalism” program launched by the Yemen Children Platform, which aims to equip a new generation of young journalists and those interested in covering childhood issues with professional skills grounded in verification and accuracy.

Arkan Al-Wafi, Director of the Yemen Children Platform, affirmed that the platform will continue to implement a series of specialized training programs in the field of child journalism in the coming period.

Throughout the course, participants received training on methods of identifying misleading news, using digital verification tools, working with open sources, and applying practical exercises to strengthen their ability to produce credible journalistic content that serves children’s issues in Yemen.
